Prints Galore

This season’s collections have once again seen the 2012 Spring/Summer runways taken over with print and have reminded us that life is far from being simply black and white. From Prada’s fun comic-inspired car printed shirt dress and Helmut Lang’s ultra cool digitally printed tops, to their as ever expected high street copies, we are awash with choice.

But how to work the print?

Anyone for tea?

Prim and proper, the classic tea dress gets a modern twist here with a bold print. This would be perfect for a wedding or any special occasion. Keeping it all about the dress only accessorised with simple matching shoes and clutch bag. A flattering cut for those of you with curves, with a higher waist line and a slightly longer length, this is a ladies dress! Dress it up with heels for the evening, or paired with ballerina flats and a cardigan for a daytime stroll in the sunshine.

Easy like Sunday Morning

The printed trouser is pretty rock and roll. Variations were seen all over London Fashion week, sported by the cool trendsetters of the capital. But don’t over complicated it, it’s  best keeping the rest of the outfit simple, seen here with a slouchy tee and black flats, its an easy to wear outfit that you know is going to look good every time. Pair up with some shades for added laid back cool.

OverLoad !

To work the printed suit, you have to have the confidence to pull it off! It screams look at me! But if you are going to do it, go all the way- loud and proud and enjoy it, fashion should be fun after all. It is a lot of busy fabric that needs to be balanced and carried well, so to do it right, keep hair slick and think of maintaining a natural make up palette.  It is also a trend that will be carried forward into Autumn Winter 2012, as seen in collections such as Camilla and Marc, so you will have plenty of chances to don THE suit.
